MOVIE REVIEW : CRAKK
A spectacular cracker in Aussie slang. It’s nostalgic of Sushant movies that I used to see his films with an audience of 8-12 and then the outpouring of love after his demise. Same is the fate of an IMDB 8.8/10 movie.
An extreme sports film which Vidyut has produced and put his energy out there, its adrenal rush throughout due to his death defying stunts earning him the name of Crakk.
The direction is not a K Jo to give the finesse but Vidyut had spared no efforts in production values be if location, the extra international artists, the stunts etc.
ADDRAHAT
Movie is about Nihal (Ankit Mohan)and Siddhu Dixit (Vidyut)2 daredevil brothers whose only passion is risky extreme sports and not namesake, you can see the efforts Vidyut has made. Both brothers wanna make it big and enter the sports betting game Maidaan where people are betting high stakes and yes it might be illegal but then that’s the part of the game.
Maidaan is helmed by the sexy dashing villain Dev (Arjun Rampal) whose father Mark is the co-founder with others chairing the committee.
Amy Jackson plays the cop trying to crack on Dev as behind scenes the latter has more sinister plans.
Jamie Lever just like her Das adds to the comic element. Nora plays the Maidaan influencer and the love interest
The movie takes you on high with each challenge the contestants need to go through.
An out and out Action film which is one of a kind and not backed by the big bad Bollywood.
The choice of Arjun’s dad is interesting as he is the same age as Arjun and if a movie buffyou may recall the chocolate hero Bijoy Anand from Yash singing subah subah jab khidki hole and Kajol’s boyfriend in Pyar toh hona hi tha.
The end credit Ram Ram song by MTV Hustle winner MC Square is a treat as Vidyut dances his best with the bevy of beauties around especially Marathi mulgi Pooja Sawant.
The title rap by MTV Hustle Paradox sets the mood for the movie.
Vidyut doesn’t have great acting chops but who cares when you watch him do the magic just like Tony Jaa in Enter the new dragon. Arjun is still hot as hell and compliments as Vidyut’s Nemesis. Ankit Mohan as the brother is well built and does his little part well.
Overall, a Crakk film just like Jason’s Crank
